The Easiest Way To Live A Healthy Lifestyle

The easiest way to live a healthy lifestyle is to have help!
It's usually a drastic change and something that is hard to handle on your own.

Every ones goal always starts out to be skinny, loose weight, see a certain number on the scale again or to tone up. In today's society it is so easy to fall short of meeting these personal goals. Especially with all the fast food options, the overstocked grocery stores supplying us with endless bad choices to choice from.

A new friend of mine, Olivia Grist who is an amazing nutritionist and fitness inspiration has really helped me to set goals and game plan a new lifestyle for myself.

She actually interviewed and featured me on her blog The Healthiness Project which you can see here.

I gained 28 lbs with Hadley & after I lost 30 lbs within the first month of her being born putting me lower than I was before getting pregnant. I blame the lack of sleep, breastfeeding & loss in appetite for that weight loss success.

However I was no where near the place I wanted to be yet ...

I have been breastfeeding since, which puts me 5 months in as we celebrated her 5 months yesterday & my appetite has doubled! With nursing I'm constantly hungry and find myself even mindlessly eating. I have put back on 9 lbs and feel my energy levels dropping.

A while back now (I've been slacking and life has taken over with motherhood, working in the salon & now coaching cheer) Olivia gave me a taste -literally, into her world and put together a meal plan for my and my family & some great at home exercises that give you a full body workout !!

I will tell you firsthand, I LOVED having her take care of putting my meals together for me. She sent me a link that had it all planned out by day and a grocery list already written out!

The meals were all so delicious & simple to put together. I was able to make them all in my crock pot! Which, if you know me then you know I'm a crock pot queen.

I have used several of her dishes since and added them into my own meal planning now! Her jambalaya, chicken salad & salsa chicken were some of my favorites.

Here are the exercises she sent me! I asked her for 5 simple moves that us busy on the go women can actually make time for! Check it out!

The week she sent me this I tried to do this daily, and was able to 4 out of 7 days that week!

With a new baby, at first it is hard to manage your time and really figure out how to going on living the way you used to...

It's all about making the time! When you want something bad enough you find ways to make it work for your life style & people like Olivia are, in my opinion the best resources you could use!

I was able to ask her some questions about how she got started, and what her relationship with her clients are as well as what you can expect when she is your coach!

Molly: What is your mission?

Olivia: My mission is to empower other women to live their healthiest, happiest life, and to help them see that they have the power inside themselves to be or do anything they want.

Molly: How long have you been coaching?

Olivia: I have been a healthy lifestyle coach for 22 months, but have only been blogging for about a year. I dabbled in it for awhile before I decided to really dive into it because technology isn’t really my strong suite, and it took me a little while to figure it all out.

Molly: What did you do before this?

Olivia: Before I started coaching, I was a nurse. I had worked in the medical field my entire adult life, so nursing seemed like the logical next choice, but something was always missing from my day. I didn’t feel passion for helping others in that setting, and I was drained from it in a very short amount of time. Because I was feeling lost and overwhelmed with my choice of becoming a nurse, when the opportunity to start a business as a lifestyle coach came to me, I jumped at the chance. It was a pretty easy transition, and since I was fortunate enough to replace my nursing income in just a few months, I was able to dive into coaching full time.

Molly: How much are your services? (You are gonna DIE when you see her answer!!!)

Olivia: The great thing about what I do is that having me as a coach is 100% and totally free. I never charge for my services because I want my challengers to find the results that they are so badly craving! I try to put tons of recipes, meal plans, nutrition info/tips, and exercise tips on my site for those who aren’t able to make the investment of a product or package right now, and then all of my challengers who do purchase a package (which includes at home workouts and my soul mate nutritional shake, Shakeology) get a support group as well. So to answer your question, I’m free! The only investment for those wanting to work with me is the tools they will use in their own homes.

Molly: What can your clients expect when you become their coach?

Olivia: My challengers can and should expect a lot of me, because I expect a lot of them. Accountability is one of the number 1 reasons that people give up on their goals, and I refuse to let that happen to my girls. We check in every day, multiple times a day. If I don’t hear from someone, they know to expect a message from me. We have fun, but we also work hard. I always get to know WHY my challenger is looking for this healthy lifestyle change, that way, if in a month or two they try to give up, I’m there to remind them why they started!

Molly: What is your #1 nutrition tip?

Olivia: Number 1 nutrition tip I can give… oh this is hard, I want to say SO many! Okay, If I had to choose just 1 tip, I would say to READ YOUR LABELS. I mean really read them, learn what they mean, start to look at ingredient lists. If you can’t say it, don’t eat it. If you’re not sure what it is, don’t eat it. If it doesn’t have a label, you should probably eat it (ie; fruits, veggies). Don’t let lack of education on nutrition allow you to blindly make choices. Be your own advocate!

Molly: What is your #1 fitness tip?

Olivia: Number 1 fitness tip - get your heart rate pumping. Some people might find this surprising, but being healthy has far more to do with nutrition choices than exercise. Exercise is good for your body and can help you reach goals, but don’t over think it. Find something you love to do, and do it consistently, a minimum of 3 times per week, but more if possible.
