This is my go to on my days off work or when I just don't have enough time to allow for a full face!
I am sure once motherhood begins I will be using this routine more often than not!
Step 1;
Moisturize !
I prefer this over a face primer.
Foundation just needs something to stick to and I am a fan of that "dewy" look so the more moisturized your skin is, the more dewy and sun kissed it will appear.
My go to moisturizer is the sephora brand for $24
Step 2:
Foundation !
My current obsession is actually a drug store foundation, by loreal called true match "lumi" foundation.
It's great for all skin types and adds to my dewy look! Always make sure you extend your foundation down onto your neck & chest. Especially when trying to achieve a natural look. You don't want any lines whatsoever.
I got my foundation at Walmart for $10, but honestly whatever you use will do! My secret is to apply it with a brush! It leaves a more flawless finish.
Step 3:
Brows !
If you have followed my blog from the beginning then you know how serious I take my brows! They make or break a face application! To see how I apply mine click here.
Step 4:
Blush / Bronzer or BOTH!
When I'm in a time pinch I like to use the same brush and mix my bronzer and blush and apply them both at the same time.
My favorite duo is by E.L.F. & is $3 at target!
Step 5:
Liner & lashes !
Most days I apply liner. I alternate between a pencil and a gel (that is applied with a brush).
For this look however I only used my pencil in the outer corners of my eye and smeared them inwards with a q-tip to get a more "lived" in softer line. I didn't extend it all the way to keep my eyes looking wide open & fresh!! Just took the liner to the middle of my bottom lashes.
The pencil I used is $4 from ulta. It's the Nyx brand that you can find at most beauty stores.
As far as my lashes are concerned I used the newly famous and oh so #trending
Younique 3D moodstruck fiber mascara ! We now sell it at my salon for only $19.99 most distributors sell it for $30! So if you are local, stop on in to Irelands Spa & Salon II to get yours today! You won't be disappointed. If not, find someone who sells it & snag yourself a set! It's super easy to apply!
First you use your normal mascara (I'm still old school and love the maybeline mascara in the pink & green tube)
Let that dry, and then apply the 3D mascara gel!
Then immediately apply the 3D fibers to help extend and thicken your natural lashes.
Lastly reapply the 3D gel to lock the fibers onto your lash!
You can repeat these steps as many times as you like until you get the look you are trying to achieve!
Each step should only take you a couple mins, making this an easy 10 minute or less make-up application!
Xoxo,
Molly.
