I'm Molly, the girl behind the blog. I am 27 years old.
A wife to a gorgeous supportive man named Levi, yes like the jeans.
A mother to an amazing little girl named Hadley.
I am a hairstylist, and have been for almost 7 years now.
I am a cheerleading coach for my local school district.
A lifestyle blogger & now have taken on the role of
' Salon Owner' as I adventure into booth renting and creating my own brand.
I created this blog a few years ago and as it got more and more awareness I knew someday it would be more than just a blog. More than what you can see on your screen currently...
I have now made this blog come to life in my very own salon.
Beauty & The Beehive
@ Salon Lofts.
I am
from a small town in Ohio. Growing up with divorced parents, and cheering my
way through high school was not always easy, but my passion made things fun.
Through life I used hair and crafting as an outlet to make others feel good about
themselves.
Even at
a young age the look on someones face after I did their hair and makeup is what
I lived for, rather I knew it or not.
I got
sidetracked, like we all do. I went to a technical college thanks to teachers
and peer pressure assuming that the beauty industry wouldn't pay the bills. It
didn't last long. I went for Holistic Health, in hopes of becoming a Life
coach, as I still strive to make people feel good about themselves.
After an
eventful, typical, short-lived college journey I wondered back home and perused
my dreams of doing hair by attending a Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School.
The rest is history !
Like I
mentioned, I have been in the industry for 6 years, and during that time I have
been an educator for Paul Mitchell, traveled the country to work and learn
underneath some of the biggest names Paul Mitchell has to offer (i.e. Robert
Cromeans, Angus Mitchell, John Paul Dejoria- just to name a few.)
After
having my own destination bridal, hair and makeup company called "Couture
By M" that was featured on theknot.com, I worked at one of the top salons
in Columbus, Ohio. Which is to be considered the TOP ONE PERFECT of the
world, where I was trained in french cutting, and extensive retail products. My
former positions allowed me to be apart of hundreds of brides BIG DAY as well as
men, woman, and children's every day lives one service at a time.
But, if
you Google me now, you will find me in Blacklick, Ohio as a Salon Owner apart of the ever growing Salon Lofts Company. I have been so inspired with making a space unique for my clients. I love the cozy intimate setting my loft creates. As you dive deeper into this blog you will find my love for decorating & all things DIY. Which I got to put to use when designing the space with my loft mate. Yes, that's right I said loft mate.
I have been blessed to have a friend and fellow stylist who has gone into business at the same time as me. We are not only able to share our space, alternating hours of business, but we are able to lean on one another, help each other & learn from one another during this process.
Here's to us Em & #luckyloft13
